Terms of service

JustSell is the trade name of a proprietorship registered in Karnataka, India. In these terms “we” and “us” mean that business; our legal name, principal place of business and GSTIN are at the foot of this page.

These terms apply to the JustSell website and the JustSell apps. Using them means accepting these terms and the privacy policy. You must be 18 or over, and you must own the device you are selling and be entitled to sell it.

A valuation is our offer for the device you described, at the condition you described. It is held for 48 hours. Within that window the figure does not move, whatever the market does.

The figure depends on your answers being accurate. In the apps some of those answers are measured by the device itself rather than asked; the rest — cosmetic condition, battery health — are yours, and no sensor can check them for us.

Whoever takes the device checks it against the valuation before any money moves. If it matches, you are paid the figure you were quoted. If it does not — undisclosed damage, a different model, a battery in worse condition than stated — we will tell you what changed and what it is now worth.

You can walk away at that point. There is no fee, and the device stays with you. We would rather lose the transaction than have you feel talked into a lower number at your own door.

Payment is released after the device has been collected and checked, and the grade agreed with you. Not before. We do not take payment details in the app; they are given at collection.

You choose how: UPI, bank transfer, or vault credit. Vault credit carries a 5% premium over the cash figure and can be spent on anything in the vault.

Doorstep collection is free. If you bring the device to one of our counters instead, we add ₹200 to your figure — a flat amount, because the courier run it saves costs the same whatever the device is worth.

Before handing it over you must sign out of your accounts and turn off any activation lock — Find My on an iPhone, or the Google account lock on Android. We cannot process a locked device and will return it.

Once the transaction completes, the device is wiped to a certified standard and a signed erasure certificate is issued to your account. Back up anything you want to keep first; the wipe is not reversible.

A repair price shown before we have the device is an estimate. The diagnostic is free and carries no obligation. If what the technician finds costs more than the estimate, we tell you the new figure and why, in writing, and no work starts until you accept it.

Parts and labour carry the warranty stated against each service.

Every device in the vault is graded, tested and sold with the warranty shown on its page. Grades describe cosmetic condition; a device is fully functional whatever its grade, or it is not listed.

You may return a vault purchase within seven days for a full refund. Collection is at our cost. The device must come back with everything it shipped with, and in the condition it arrived in.

We will not buy a device that is stolen, that you cannot prove you are entitled to sell, that is locked to an account you cannot open, or that has been tampered with in a way that makes its identity unclear. Where the law requires it we will report a device we have reason to believe is stolen.

JustSell is independent recommerce and repair for Apple, Samsung and Google hardware. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorised service provider for Apple Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. or Google LLC. All product names and marks belong to their respective owners.

We are responsible for the device from the moment it leaves your hand until it is settled or returned to you, and it is insured for the valuation over that period. We are not responsible for data you did not back up before handing it over.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, where the business is registered.

Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, which applies whatever these terms say.
